October is breast cancer awareness month. The world data shows out of every eight women, one is likely to develop breast cancer. Breast cancer accounts for 20% of cancer cases in Indian women. In the past 20 years, breast cancer incidence in the world has experienced tremendous increase of 50-100%, which strongly supports the need for breast cancer prevention and screening programmes. Wear pink ribbon and, support the cause.
